With clients including MGM properties, Caesar’s Entertainment, Ritz-Carlton, 4 Seasons, Marriott, and the Waldorf Astoria, Buzz Pop Cocktails are one brand to watch.

We took the chance to speak with founder and CEO, Joseph Isaacs, about the innovative brand that's breaking into the marine industry.

Based in Florida, Buzz Pop Cocktails creates authentic top-quality Italian sorbets. Can you take us through the company’s story so far, from its initial founding to now?

Buzz Pop was conceived in 2017 and since then has taken the food service industry by storm. Production is done in Delray Beach Florida and our executive offices are in the Tampa Bay area. We do not sell in retail stores. We market exclusively through hotels, pool bars, beach clubs, amusement and water parks, sporting arenas, convention centers, corporate events, high-end restaurants & clubs, as well as cruise lines.

We have created the world’s 1st adult push-pop. Our product is all natural and contains no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, artificial sugars or high fructose corn syrups. We even have a patent pending on the process.

Our products are minimum 10% ABV and do not separate, have a hardness of ice cubes, and are delicious. Buzz Pops are rich, smooth, creamy Italian sorbets with a consistent alcohol pallet throughout. You know you are having a cocktail when you taste Buzz Pops.

Buzz Pops has achieved nationwide recognition within a relatively short time frame, even being endorsed by Shark Tank’s Kevin Harrington and TV personality Forbes Riley in the process. Why do you think Buzz Pops has achieved such acclaim?

We have been endorsed by many celebrities and chefs along the way because of our unique high-end one of a kind adult push-pop. No matter where people are from or what age bracket they fit into (over 21), they all love Buzz Pops.

Since the summer of 2018, we have been featured on hundreds of radio and TV channels, in newspapers throughout the USA and globally, as well as prominent online media sources including Food & Wine, Disney News, Insider Food, Thrillist, Pop Sugar, Delish, and Bustle, just to name a few! Our company and our products have gone viral due to the out-of-the-box thinking CEO and team.

Cruise lines and yachts have always been a market we wish to be a major part of.

Available widely in the US already, what made you want to venture into the cruise market?

Cruise lines and yachts have always been a market we wish to be a major part of. Many private yacht owners have purchased Buzz Pops for their travels and charters. Millions of our fans tell us we are the perfect “adult indulgence with a healthy twist” and that we are the ideal item to have on cruise ships. It’s a progression we anticipated in 2017.

How do you think cruise lines might benefit from stocking Buzz Pop Cocktails onboard their vessels?

Cruise passengers would go nuts over the healthy, all-natural, fat-free Buzz Pops. It’s ideal for poolside and is a much better choice, calories-wise, than the frozen sugary daiquiris currently being served. We are working on sustainable packaging in cups to satisfy the single-use plastics ban that most cruise lines currently have in place.

What differentiates Buzz Pop Cocktails from its competitors?

Currently, we have no real competition. We acknowledge there are other players in this space but none of them make a product that is completely natural with premium spirits at 10% ABV in an authentic Italian sorbet form. Others in the space have faced challenges when freezing the liquor, so they end up with a gritty, separated dessert item with very low alcohol content (mainly 3-5%). Alternatively, some who have gotten the alcohol levels up to 8% serve a product overloaded with sugar and is more of an ice cube consistency and texture.
